Two years and two days exactly between our birthdays, we first met at Brecknock Elementary school's basketball league. I think my High School car only knew how to drive to school and her house. To make it even more special her family met my Grandma Dello and Grandpa Pete, who have since passed but lived in Weirton, WV and were only briefly visiting when they met by chance.

In Kevin's own words, "Don't be writing any stories" upon being questioned how or when they met. He went on to explain that they just always were together or to use an exact quote, "I didn't say 'Hey man I like your spike-y hair' or anything". I did not meet these best friends until their late twenties but I have heard, Mike Kennedy (Kevin's father) say that he could not keep milk in the house when Nick was around because he would drink it all.
